There are a few options when it comes to getting to Zakynthos – by car, by bus, by ferry and by air.

 

CAR

Zante is 382 kms from Athens International Airport via E94 and Olimpia Odos/E65, including a 1hr ferry ride from the port of Kilini – this is approximately 5½ hours by car and ferry.

BUS

From Athens Bus Terminal at Kiffissou street Intercity KTEL buses depart daily to Zakynthos via Killini ferry port. The total journey by bus from Athens takes 5 hours (including ferryboat).

SEA

From the Italian ports of Venice, Ancona, Bari, Trieste and Brindisi there are regular ferries to the Greek port of Patras.

From Patras it is a 1 hour drive by car or bus to Killini port connecting the mainland with Zakynthos Island.

The total trip time for the ferry from Kyllini to Zakynthos is approximately 1 hour.

Ferries to the island of Kefalonia can be joined at Aghios Nikolas, on the North-East tip of the island.

AIR 

There are scheduled Flights to the Zakynthos International Airport (ZTH) to and from all major centers in Europe.

Athens International Airport (ATH) is approximately 5½ hours from Zakynthos by car & ferry.
